Initially recognized for wide knowledge and creative applications of weaves, she developed an innovative split-shed technique to allow free imagery. After years of weaving research and experiments she began a series of textile landscapes called "Places of Peace." For well over a decade this series, now nearing 100 pieces, has enjoyed a positive reception from public and critics. These unique, award-winning landscapes use distinctive weaving, warp-painting, and embroidery techniques (see Techniques).
