The pictures below differ from those in Gallery I in that they may be larger or may use slightly different methods. If framed at all, they usually have a narrow, maple shadowbox. The content remains the same, "Places of Peace."

In 2007 I began making significantly larger pictures than previous ones, and that change in scale has both allowed and required changes in some techniques.

All my work still begins with warp painting which bestows a unique, soft quality to the painted images. The painted warps are all woven with fine, tinted or transparent sewing threads.

The pictures here may or may not have additional woven-in or embroidered threads. There may be added painting done after the piece is woven, using textile paints or watercolour pencils. As I experiment and refine methods my goal continues to be creating visual and physical layers that interpret the beautiful, intricate patterns and tranquil ambiance in nature.
