I make landscape pictures because I love being in the places I depict. The serenity of each site I portray is explored through its textures, colours, organic forms, light, and shadows.

In 1993 I began making a series called "Places of Peace." These one-of-a-kind works combine painting, weaving, and embroidery (see Techniques) for visual and physical layers. The results are unique to both the landscape and fine art traditions.

The pictures below have been professionally framed with a linen liner and a maple frame. Wherever possible framing materials are acid-free and museum-grade. No glass separates the viewer from the intriguing textures and lusters of the threads.
